“Cruiser’s Cruise Nights” get underway for another summer season tonight in Southampton.
This is the 15th year for the weekly event — which raises money for the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation.
Organizer Gary Brown — aka Mr. Cruiser — says each Thursday night, now through September 10th, residents can enjoy music and of course classic and vintage cars.
Typically – some 80 to 120 cars, trucks and motorcylcles are on display from the early nineteen hundreds to the late 80’s.
There is also a chance to win some cash through the weekly 50/50 draw.
Brown says the night runs 6 PM to 9 PM tonight on High Street by the big flag.
Over the last fourteen years, just under 142 thousand dollars has been raised for the Foundation.
Brown expects they’ll reach the 150 thousand mark this August – and will celebrate when the time comes.
