It’s a chance for residents to find out what is happening at the Grey Bruce Regional Health Service in Owen Sound.
Grey Bruce Health Services is holding its 2nd annual Report to the Community event this evening in Owen Sound at St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
President and CEO Maureen Solecki says this is a perfect opportunity for senior Hospital officials to let the general public know what has been happening at the GBHS over the past 12 months.
She says this is a more informative and and interesting way to pass on information rather than have the public sit through what can be very boring and time consuming Hospital Board Meetings.
Solecki says this evening session will include an explanation on how the hospital is responding to the H1N1 flu virus and a report from the Chief of Staff Dr. Don Eby on the status of the Hospitals Medical community.
Solecki also will take time to address the meeting to give the public the Presidents perspective about what has happened over the past 12 months and what challenges she sees coming in the future.
She says one major challenge facing the hospital over the next year is dealing with hospital funding and trying to deal with the fact Hospital expenses are outstripping funding from the Provincial government.
Tonight’s meeting takes place at the St. Mary’s Parish Hall on 15th Street East in Owen Sound and begins at 7 PM.
