It looks like Piping Plovers have once again chosen Wasaga Beach as the place to start a family.
Provincial Park Superintendent John Fisher says a male and female plover have been spotted on the main beach near the area when a pair nested last year.
Fisher says the pair has been demonstrating breeding behaviour.
He says if they do lay their eggs in the area, park staff will put up the fenced enclosure like they did last year.
A male plover has also been seen around the main beach bringing the total sighted to three.
A pair of Piping Plovers at the beach last year had 8 eggs, but only one hatchling survived storms, predators and disease.
Fisher says the young bird was banded with a special tracking tag.
The bird is now an adult and has been spotted in Michigan.
Fisher says the male bird has paired up and is exhibiting breeding behaviour so it could soon become a daddy.
He tells us he is again looking for volunteers to keep a constant watch over the plovers if they do nest.
