An Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant is flowing to Participation Lodge Grey-Bruce.
MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, Bill Murdoch says the 15 thousand dollar grant will help to renovate and upgrade their facility.
Joining MPP Murdoch to mark this special occasion was Trillium Foundation representative, Frank Coulter.
Participation Lodge has been around for over 25 years, and Murdoch says with these new upgrades it will be able to continue it’s public service to the community.
Improvements to the lodge include a re-tiling of the men’s bathroom, and creation of a Therapeutic Tub Room thanks to an anonymous donation.
Participation Lodge was incorporated in 1978 and since opening their doors in 1982 has served as a residential long-term-care and community services organization providing services to persons with physical and intellectual disabilities.
The Lodge including a residential facility and two independent living apartment programs — a Gym/Exercise Room, a Heated Therapeutic Pool and Banquet Facilities and Meeting Rooms.
