Concerns on Kincardine Council about Bruce Telecom’s VISA credit limit have been put to rest.
CEO Mike Andrews and Board Chair Richard Martin appeared at Wednesday’s council meeting and explained that the 500 dollar limit is spread over all 56 employees, plus management and board members.
Employees are only issued a company credit card when they attend a training session or conference for registration and lodging costs.
Andrews says in that situation, the card is issued to the employee when they leave, and it is handed back to the finance department when they return.
Andrews says than other for management and a small number of individuals in the purchasing group, the cards are always kept under lock and key and do not circulate freely.
He says it is a superior audit and control function and represents good governance and responsibility.
