Hanover is sending two of it’s finest to the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
Constables Michael Boyko and Ian Sanderson of the Hanover police department will be serving as security officers during the games.
The RCMP will cover the entire expense.
The two Hanover police officers will spend about a month in Vancouver and head out west in mid-January.
Mayor Kathi Maskell is very pleased that Hanover is able to contribute to the games in this manner.
She says the officers who will be wearing their Hanover police uniforms will do the town very proud.
Maskell calls it a win win situation.
She says the police officers will gain a wonderful experience while the town of Hanover is able to contribute to the security of such a special event.
