Bayshore Broadcasting News would like to apologize for the airing of a story this morning that suggested the chief building official for Arran Elderslie was under investigation.
Such is not the case at all and Bayshore apologizes for any embarassment caused Mr. Craig Johnston, Mayor Ron Oswald and the administration staff in Arran Elderslie.
An audit is underway on files from the building department in 2006, 2007 and 2008 and a report is expected by the end of the month.
OPP are also investigating an alledged theft from the building department offices but in no way involves Mr. Johnston.
Bayshore Broadcasting retracts its original story and again apologizes for any embarassment for the erroneus story that was aired.
