Grey county OPP a probing an unprovoked assault on the weekend in the hamlet of Conn, between Shelburne and Mount Forest.
Police were called around 7 PM Saturday night.
The 31 year-old female victim told police that a man came to the door of her home a few hours earlier and knocked.
When she opened the door he punched her in the face.
The woman was temporarily knocked out.
Later in the evening she was treated at Louise Marshall Hospital in Mount Forest with facial injuries.
The suspect is described as a male with dark features and tanned skin. He may have been driving a large black sport utility vehicle.
The investigation is continuing.
