The time for commenting on the proposed new nuclear power plant build by Bruce Power has been extended again.
Spokesperson John Peevers says they have received several requests from the Joint Review Panel for further information on the project.
Peevers says each time that happens, the clock stops on the public comment review period.
He says what it means is that you still have time to make your comments known on the build.
He says people can review documents and make their feelings known while the public comment period is on hold.
Peevers says the company hopes to have all the latest questions and comments answered by the summer.
Once that happens then the clock begins again on the public review time.
That review period was to have ended this month but it’s expected to be extended well into the Fall now.
Peevers says the company is not trying to win a race here.
They want to have the answers completed in a timely fashion but not at the expense of correctness and detail.
