It is something to sing about for the Kincardine Summer Music Festival.
The Federal Government is giving the Festival a grant of 23 thousand dollars to help it put on this years event which runs from August 1st to 15th.
The Festival will present musical performances in a variety of genres, including jazz, blues, world music, and chamber and orchestral music, featuring performers from Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia.
It will also present a series of outreach activities including free concerts to get young people and community members involved in the arts.
John Schnarr, Programming Director and General Manager of the Kincardine Summer Music Festival says the funding will benefit the festival by supporting the presentation of the professional musicians featured in the 2009 KSMF Concert Series.
The grant is part of the Arts Presentation Canada program of the Department of Canadian Heritage.
