If you’ve got some extra time, Owen Sound’s museums would love to see you.
Manager Mary Smith says they’re hosting a volunteer fair for the Billy Bishop Home and Museum and the Marine and Rail Museum.
Smith says they’re looking for people to help out doing everything from receptionist to grounds work.
She says they have positions ranging from once a year to once a week – anything that fits your schedule.
Smith says for some events, they need upwards of 100 volunteers, like the Owen Sound Heritage Day coming up on July 25th.
Smith adds they’ll find work that suits you.
She says whether you’re looking to share your knowledge, learn about local history, meet new people, or just have fun, the museums will have something for you.
The Owen Sound Museums Volunteer Fair is being held at the Marine and Rail Museum today from 3 to 6 PM.
