The 2009 SCOBE — also known as the Saugeen Community Business Excellence awards — will be handed out tonight at the Mildmay Carrick Recreation complex.
There are 41 nominees for this years’ awards.
Business manager for the Saugeen Economic Development corporation, Rose Austin says the biggest category of nominees fall under the category for the Customer service excellence award — with 12 companies in the running.
Awards for corporate citizen of the year, entrepreneur of the year as well as “Young” entrepreneur of the year will be given out tonight along with Company of the year for firms with under 15 employees and one for over 15 employees.
One of the most popular nominees was Pioneer Snack express of Hanover which received nominations in 4 categories.
Tickets for this evening’s gala ceremony at the Mildmay Carrick complex are 35 dollars each.
