The numbers are in from the annual Spring Seatbelt Campaign.
The OPP stopped more than one million vehicles in Ontario.
Police laid almost 75 hundred charges against drivers and over 26 hundred charges against passengers for not wearing their seatbelts.
Another 197 charges were laid for improperly installed child seats.
Grey County OPP officers checked almost 23 thousand vehicles.
181 drivers and 42 passengers were charged with failing to wear their seatbelts.
There were also 2 charges laid related to improper child restraints.
