Bayshore Broadcasting News has learned Bruce Power is expanding, at least when it comes to office space.
Spokesperson Steve Cannon says the company has room out of room at its “technical building” on site in Tiverton.
Cannon says it where people have been doing project work in conjunction with the re-start.
As a result for the first time, Bruce Power has created some off-site office space for about 70-workers.
He says it’s located in south Port Elgin in a strip mall, next to Subway.
Cannon says he hopes to have 40 personnel in the office by June with the rest to follow shortly thereafter.
Cannon says this office space expansion into Port Elgin is a positive for the company.
He says despite their presence in the area, they’re still tucked away on site in Tiverton.
This will help put a face on the company in Saugeen Shores.
