A milestone for Honda Canada.
The automaker showed off Tuesday the five-millionth vehicle made at its plant in Alliston.
The milestone car — a Honda Civic sedan — rolled off the assembly line 23 years after the Japanese company first set up shop in Ontario.
The Civic was presented to Premier Dalton McGuinty, who in turn handed the keys to Pamela Fuselli, the Executive Director of Safe Kids Canada.
Up to 390-thousand Honda and Acura vehicles a year are built at two manufacturing plants in Alliston — including the Civic, Acura C-S-X and M-D-X.
