After a weekend of fishing in the trout streams, outdoors-folk are headed to the turkey blinds today.
Today marks the start of the spring wild turkey hunt.
Hunters are only allowed to go after bearded turkeys, and can only shoot after sunrise and before seven at night.
Hunters are also required to report every bird they get to the ministry of Natural resources.
In the fall turkey hunt, 427 birds were reported to have been shot by hunters across the province
If you’re out on the trails or in the woods between now and Friday, you’re asked to wear bright colours.
