Bruce Peninsula OPP will continue their search for a missing canoeist.
Police say 19 year old Joshua Wiedrick of Bowmanville has not been seen since April 18th and was finally reported missing on Saturday.
He’s been staying alone at a cottage at Saugeen First Nation along the shoreline of Lake Huron and was reported missing
The OPP discovered a canoe off Pike Bay over the weekend and called in a helicopter.
Its also believed the man had his dog with him in the canoe.
Anyone living in the area is being asked to watch for a shepherd/husky cross that answers to the name Tucker.
The search continues today with two boats searching the shoreline and a helicopter overhead.
The initial search took place last Monday after someone reported a canoe, with a dog, struggling in high winds along the lake shore.
Search and Rescue from Trenton and the Coast Guard from Tobermory ended their day long search after no sign of anyone turned up.
