A Wasaga Beach man has served a one-day jail term after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of a man from Sudbury more than two years ago.
Noah Coutts spent one day in jail following his sentencing March 10th.
The judge in the case gave him one day plus time spent in pre-trial custody.
Coutts had been in custody for 18 months plus two days prior to his trial.
Coutts had been charged originally with second-degree murder in the death of 29 year old Roger Halvorson, a family friend.
Halvorson was found in the parking lot of the Riverboat Inn with stab wounds to the upper body September 8th of 2007.
