A group of local students is on the road to Toronto this weekend.
The trip was organized by students from Peninsula Shores District School in Wiarton.
Hundreds of people across North American are taking part in something called “The Rescue” to shed light on children who are being abducted in Northern Uganda and forced into serving as soldiers.
A non profit organization called ‘Invisibile Children’ is hosting the event and says since September the resistance army in Uganda has murdered more than 600 and abducted 160 children to fight with them.
The local students will be taking part in a mock abduction Saturday afternoon.
