10 people face a total of 51 charges after a drug sweep in Owen Sound.
Inspector Steve MacKinnon says the arrests are a culmination of an 11 day Joint Forces Operational that concluded on Thursday.
City Police officers went undercover with members of the OPP Drug Squad and Organized Crime Unit to stop street level drug dealers.
Police arrested men who had sold drugs to an undercover officer.
Police also executed four search warrants at residents on 4th Avenue East, 7th Avenue East and 8th Street East.
Officers seized over 4 thousand dollars in cash, equipment, a debt list as well as street quantities of several drugs — from marijuana to ecstasy and oxycodone.
MacKinnon says this puts a dent on the street drug market and now the larger dealers have fewer options to push their drugs.
7 men ranging in age from 18 to 58 were arrested and face various charges — from drug trafficking to possession of proceeds of crime.
A warrant has also been issued for the arrest of 18 year old Kyler Marq Quewezance of Owen Sound.
The First Nations man managed to escaped from officers on Thursday.
Two other Owen Sound men face charges but have not been arrested yet as police seek warrants for them.
