Collingwood fire fighters have a new two year contract.
Council approved a new collective agreement this week that is retro-active to January 1st and goes to December 31st, 2010.
CAO Gord Norris says the contract will bring the fire fighters in line with the market rate.
Norris says the pay raises will be phased in over the two years.
The agreement with the Collingwood Professional Fire Fighters Association Local 938 IAFF covers 22 full-time fire fighters.
Firefighters in Collingwood have been covered by collective agreements for four years.
