There has been some outside interest in locating a hotel in Hanover.
Councilor Bob White says Hanover is ready for one, noting there is a real need.
Hanover is actively pursuing this possibility through advertising and has also identified six possible locations for a hotel.
White doesn’t think Hanover’s attempt to secure a hotel development project will negatively impact Brockton’s quest to secure one for Walkerton.
He says either way, if one town is successful the other will still benefit from the economic spin-offs.
To date Hanover has received a few bites from potential hotel developers.
He says its now a matter of time before something materializes.
White says this could happen quite fast or may take a few years – only time will tell.
