Teams from four Grey Bruce High Schools will be showing off their environmental smarts and competing for a chance to qualify for the 2009 Ontario Envirothon Championships.
Students from OSCVI and West Hill in Owen Sound and Bruce Peninsula District School in Lions Head and Peninsula Shores in Wiarton will take part in the competition.
The winning team then will advance to the Provincial Championship which takes place May 6th to the 9th in St. George, Ontario.
The annual Envirothon competition involves more than five thousand students from across the province and encourages them to broaden their environmental knowledge and get outdoors and experience nature first hand.
Today’s competition between the four schools, takes place at the Celtics Sports and Arts Camp at Lions Head.
