Collingwood is going door to door for dogs and cats.
Supervisor of Bylaw Enforcement Holly Hynes says this is the second year they are going around Collingwood.
She says it’s to create a database so they can mail out license renewal forms instead, which in turn makes it easier for the pet owners.
Hynes adds they also take the opportunity to remind the owners about the various animal bylaws, and rabies vaccinations too.
She says making sure every animal has a tag means most families will get their animal back sooner, and safely.
Half of the municipality was done in the first year, and Hynes says they will have the database done by the end of this year.
