There is a new rail exhibit that opens in Owen Sound tonight.
“Ridin the Rails” will feature photographs and stories from people and look at the rail history of Owen Sound and Bruce and Grey Counties.
The exhibit opens at 7 PM tonight at the Marine and Rail Museum.
Curator of Collections Mindy Gill Sitoski says a lot of work went into gathering photos and stories from decades past.
A film produced by Richard Thomas will premiere tonight and there is also a computerized train simulator.
The exhibit will run for about three years.
There is also a lecture series next week at the Owen Sound legion.
Author Rod Clarke will speak Tuesday night about riding the rails from Owen Sound to Toronto.
Writer Ian Wilson will speak Thursday night about the CN Railway.
