It is just another Brockton Council meeting for Deputy Mayor Roland Anstett..
Anstett was at his regular seat at the Council table last night.
This is Anstetts first open session of Council since being charged last Tuesday with theft of under 5 thousand dollars and breach of trust.
Anstett was part of a special in-camera session last Wednesday where Council discussed his future as Deputy Mayor.
Mayor Charlie Bagnato would not disclose what was said at that meeting or his initial reaction to the news saying it is a personal matter.
Other Councillors also refrained from talking about Anstett and the closed-door meeting.
Bagnato would only say that Anstett is the elected Deputy Mayor of Brockton and will remain in that position at least until the 2010 municipal election.
The charges stem from an investigation by South Bruce O-P-P at the request of the L-C-B-O.
The L-C-B-O performed an internal investigation on whether Anstett — who manages the Walkerton store location — took money from the business.
Anstett is scheduled to appear in a Walkerton court on May 4th to answer the charges.
