The Ontario Hockey League Conference Finals begin tonight at Windsor and at Belleville.
In the West Final, a highly anticipated showdown between the Windsor Spitfires and the London Knights commences.
And in the East, the Belleville Bulls will host the Brampton Battalion in the opener of that best of 7.
Truthfully, most of the focus will be on the West Final.
The Windsor-London series features two longtime rivals in the Conference Final and also features many of the best OHL players on both sides.
Windsor coach Bob Boughner also relates, in tough economic times, the series is a major benefit to the spirit of the city of Windsor.
Boughner today won the OHL Coach of the Year award for the second straight season.
Game 2 in both series are set for Friday night at London and at Brampton respectively.
