Steelback Brewery President Ian MacDonald in Tiverton says their newest product — the Steelback Red Maple — took home gold in the Honey Beer division.
MacDonald says the beer is brewed with Bruce County maple syrup.
Steelback’s Dark Lager won silver in the Dark Lager Category.
MacDonald says the company is really only 11-months old since it’s revamping of product and philosophy so they’re very proud of winning these first medals for the company.
In one year, the new Steelback has become a member of the Ontario Craft
Brewers.
It has also won the Sobey’s Business of the Year Award in Kincardine, became one of the top selling brands of beer in Bruce County, and grown its licensee business in all parts of the Province.
