The ongoing parade of Federal Cabinet Ministers Visiting the Bruce Grey Owen Sound riding continues with the Federal Health Minister visiting this week.
Leona Aglukkaq will be to take part in a reception to raise money to support local doctor recruitment efforts.
Bruce Grey Owen Sound MP Larry Miller says this will give people an opportunity to meet an talk to the minister about their health concerns and at the same time support efforts to attract new doctors to the region.
Miller says the so called healthy reception will feature locally produced food which is being donated by local producers and catered by the Green Door Cafe in Wiarton.
While in the riding, Miller says Minister Aglukkaq will also visit a healthy baby clinic to talk to mothers and nurses about health care issues.
The meet the Minister event will take place at St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Owen Sound on April 16th between Noon and 2 PM and tickets can be purchased through Millers office.
The Health Minister is the third cabinet to visit the riding in the past two months.
Last week, Defence Minister Peter McKay visited the Land Forces Central Training area in Meaford, and last months, Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz met with Grey Bruce farmers at the Keady Market.
