You’ll have to wait a few more weeks to fire up that backyard chiminea or fireplace in Collingwood.
The Open Air Burning Bylaw had been expected to come to a vote at tonight’s council meeting, but it’s not on the agenda.
The proposed bylaw is still receiving comments from the public.
If passed, the bylaw would let people in Collingwood have controlled backyard fires, as are currently allowed in Wasaga Beach.
Homeowners who wanted a chiminea or fireplace would be required to get a 25 dollar permit for the season.
