Bruce and Grey Counties have partnered together to promote golf.
There are 34 golf courses in the 2 Counties and the Tourism Departments are promoting all of them as a place to visit this Spring and Summer.
The 2009 Golf season in Grey and Bruce actually started weeks ago when mild weather allowed some courses in our region to open.
There are entry level courses, mid-range courses and of late, high end courses like Cobble Beach and Lora Bay in the area.
Michael Todd, the Head Professional at Stone Tree Golf & Fitness, believes there are exceptional choices for golf in the region and the right number of golfers.
Todd believes the region’s golf industry needs to focus on one major goal; growing the game.
He doesn’t believe that more golf courses and more options are needed, but rather each course should be attempting to grow the number of players participating in the sport and activity.
