Kincardine Councillors are looking for answers from Bruce Telecom about the credit cards it uses to cover staff expenses.
The municipally-owned company has a Visa Line of Credit of up to 500 thousand dollars.
Bruce Telecom has had the arrangement for several years but Councillors Randy Roppel and Ron Hewitt want information on why the amount is that high.
Roppel says finding out about the line of credit and the amount was interesting and something he previously didn’t know about.
He says he has no idea why a telephone company has a Visa account with a 500 thousand dollar limit.
He’s looking forward to Bruce Telecom’s CEO appearing before council to explain why they have the account and what it’s used for.
That will take place at the April 15th Council meeting.
