Wellington OPP are investigating a fatal car crash.
Officers responded to a crash east of Arthur, between the first and second concession of West Garafraxa Township, at about 6:20 this morning.
Police say a Dodge van had veered off the roadway, striking some guide posts before going into a water filled ditch.
Firefighters from Arthur extricated the driver and he was taken to hospital in Fergus.
However, the 50 year old Wellington North man was pronounced dead in hospital.
His identity is not being released at this time pending notification of family members.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation – any witnesses are asked to call Wellington OPP.
