The South Bruce Grey Health Centre Board of Directors is now accepting applications for Community Advisory Members.
Board Chair John Haggarty says it’s the best way a resident of the community can stay informed with what’s happening in their own community when it comes to their own health.
Haggarty says members can attend meetings, make reports, and advise the Board on the review and selection of new Board Members.
He says because the health care system is facing dramtic changes, now and in the future, now more than ever it’s critical members of the community get involved.
He encourages anyone who wants more of a say in what happens to their own care to get involved.
Applicants must be 18 years of age and a resident within SBGHCs service area for a continuous period of at least three months and pay a committment fee of five dollars.
