Some visitors will now be allowed at Collingwood’s hospital.
Starting today — each inpatient is only allowed one adult visitor at a time between 1 PM and 8:30 PM.
No one under the age of 12 is allowed in yet though.
The 72 bed hospital has been under visitors restrictions for the last 11 days — since March 26th — because of an outbreak of a gastrointestinal bug.
Vice President of Patient Services Linda MacLeod says they are able to allow some visitors because there haven’t been any new cases.
But she notes there are still some visiting restrictions because the illness is still lingering in the community.
