Something a little different for local animals lovers this weekend.
The Owen Sound Animal Shelter is holding several events to mark its 10th anniversary this week.
Manager Renee Robins says they’ll have a “Bblessing of the Animals” on Saturday at their 18th Avenue East location.
She says they’d like to see all of their past adoptees in attendance.
Its a rain or shine event at Noon and is free.
On Sunday — a fundraiser with a twist.
Robins says they’ll have a couple of local ‘animal communicators’ who can provide insight into your current pet’s problems or issues and even speak to your beloved pets who’ve passed on.
The cost for those readings is 25 dollars.
They’ll also be offering reiki treatments for dogs or cats and even the pet owners at a cost of 10 dollars.
Sunday’s sessions take place at Grey Sauble Conservation near Inglis Falls in Owen Sound from 10 AM until 4 PM.
