The 67’s avoided elimination last night with a 4-0 victory over the Niagara Ice Dogs to force Game 7 tonight.
Adam Courchaine made 21 saves, including a penalty shot stop on Andrew Aggozzino to give Ottawa coach Brian Kilrea another night behind the bench.
Kilrea announced prior to the season that this would be his final year as coach of the 67’s, and with the Ottawa club on the brink of elimination, they came through for the legendary coach.
If Ottawa wins tonight, they will advance to meet Brampton in Round 2.
If the Ice Dogs win, they’ll advance to face Belleville.
