The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks have taken a commanding 3-0 lead in the best of seven AA senior hockey semi final again the Shelburne Muskies.
Last night at the Plex in a rather nasty game, the Hawks beat the Muskies 7-2.
It was a game laced with penalties including some fighting penalties.
The Winterhawks power play team was right on their game scoring 5 of the 7 goals.
Ryan Dudgeon, who was named player of the game, notched two goals and an assist.
Of the rough game, Dudgeon says the Wintehawks don’t want to fight but if they have to stand up for themselves they will do so.
He says it was a great team effort last night with everyone at the top of their game.
Brent McDermid had a pair of goals as well while singles went to Greg Thede, Darryl McKinnon and Matt Turcotte.
The next game in the series goes tonight in Shelburne at 8pm.
Dudgeon says they just have to keep doing what they’re doing and they should come out winners tonight as well.
