Its a big weekend at the Saugeen Bluffs Conservation Area north of Paisley.
Its time once again for the annual Old Tyme Maple Syrup Festival.
Organizer Shannon Wood says it kicks off both days with the traditional pancake breakfast cooked up by the Paisley Kinsmen.
One of the unique features of this event is the Historical Encampment which lets visitors make leather pouches, see antique toys, and enjoy hot cider, kettle corn and old fashioned donuts.
There’s also live entertainment including the Westernairs and the Red Rascal Band.
The event also includes a sheep shearing demonstration and animal shows.
Wood says there’s also horse drawn wagon rides and plenty of activities for the kids.
She says they’ll also have several buses running to and from Paisley that will take you directly to the site.
The event goes both Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 4 PM.
Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for kids.
