A challenge has been issued from the leader of the Federal Green Party to the Warden of Simcoe County over the garbage dump currently under construction in Tiny Township.
Elizabeth May wants to have a public debate with Tony Guergis over the merits of the site and the process it went through on its way to approval.
The challenge is issued in a letter from the party to Guergis yesterday.
In it, the party quotes comments Guergis made to Bayshore Broadcasting news (97-7the Beach) in February, saying he’d love to hear ides on how to handle waste.
No word yet on whether Guergis will accept the challenge.
