Time is running out to get your child immunized in Grey Bruce.
Tomorrow is the deadline before suspensions are handed out in the elementary and secondary schools.
Manager of Preventable Diseases with the Grey Bruce Health Unit, Karen Sweiger says by law children must be immunized against a handful of diseases, tetnus, diptheria, polio, measles, mumps and rubella.
If children have not been immunized, they will be suspended until they get their shots.
There are 26 thousand students in Grey and Bruce and Sweiger says it is an ongoing process, with suspensions handed out at different times of the year in some schools.
However, parents with religious or philosophical problems with immunization have an alternative.
There is a special form that needs to be filled out an notorized for the child to be exempt.
As well, children with medical issues can be excluded with a doctors note.
