Another business is coming to Port Elgin!
The Mildmay Cheese Haus is opening in the former Trading Post on Highway 21 at the South end of town.
Owner Tom Fischer says they plan to open April 1st – and run six days a week until the long weekend in May, at which point, they’ll be open seven days a week.
Fischer says they have a cottage in the area – love the area – and want to capitalize on the busy tourist town.
The Cheese Haus will carry all of the traditional items found in Mildmay – including more than two hundred varieties of cheese, frozen foods, gifts and specialty items like teas.
The Port Elgin location however will also carry rustic log furniture.
The original Mildmay store will remain open, at its location on Highway 9.
