Many, many thanks for all of the support on the radio.
It’s been unbelievable the support we’ve received from the community because of the exposure.
We had a call from a business to donate 4 Blue Jays tickets and many cash donations have come our way.
Our trivia night was a huge success with a packed gym and a very successful silent auction, raffle. That night alone we raised $ 4,326.22.
One of our students was busking as people were looking at the raffle/silent auction items and he donated all of the money he earned.
Our grand total is now $ 6,318.79.
The day after our trivia night, Jason Crone popped into our school to see what he could do to help. It just so happened that he was free on Friday afternoon and we were having an assembly, so he spoke to all of our grade 7 & 8 students and you could have heard a pin drop.
What a remarkable young man with a great story that everyone should
hear. He did a fabulous job and our kids asked some great questions. He is also planning to donate some Team Canada stuff that we can make use of as we continue our fundraising.
We are going to the Crone Cup on the 27th with our students, so we are hoping that our ticket sales take off after March Break.
It’s taking the whole community to make everything work so smoothly.
Thank you again for your support of our efforts to help Ian.
Take care,
