A former Owen Sound resident has won a City Youth music showcase.
Claire McLeish won the second annual Knox Acoustic Cafe Youth Showcase last weekend, March 7th.
The London resident had what judges described as a “brilliant vocal and piano performance with original, well crafted lyrics.”
McLeish has won a spot at an upcoming concert in Owen Sound and has also secured a spot on the Young and Hungry stage at Summerfolk this summer.
There were a total of eight performers in the showcase, which was open to all Ontario based folk, roots and blues musicians 25 and under.
