A 17 year old girl from London is dead after a ski accident at Blue Mountain.
Elisabeth Reurink was on a trip with schoomates from Catholic Central High School.
Police say she was near the bottom of a hill rated as intermediate at about 10:50 AM when she skied off to the side of the open slope and crashed into a tree.
Reurink was wearing a helmet.
She was pronounced dead at Collingwood’s hospital.
Hers is the third fatal crash on Ontario’s ski slopes this winter
Last Sunday, a 45-year-old Toronto man died at Beaver Valley Ski Club when he crashed into a tree.
February 18th, “James” Boo Sung Moon, a 13-year-old Korean visa student at Richmond Hill was killed after he lost control and hit a tree on a beginner hill at Snow Valley.
