Things are hopping at the Owen Sound office of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The Owen Sound area office of the Heart and Stroke Foundation is half way to its goal for their annual Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser.
Half the battle is getting schools to sign up for the yearly challenge.
Spokesperson Heather Rourke tells Bayshore Broadcasting News they’ve registered 33 schools across Grey and Bruce — that’s 100 per cent of their goal.
The accomplishement is no small feat and puts the Owen Sound office in the top 5 across Ontario for this event.
They’re hoping to raise 135 thousand dollars at this year’s Jump Rope for Heart event which gets students physcially active and raises important funds to reduce the devastating effects of heart disease and stroke.
It’s still not too late to register your school.
