Even though Mother Nature threw a couple of curve balls this winter, the snowmobile season has been a good one.
That’s according to Will Collin, President of the Wasaga Beach Snowmobile Club.
Collin says even though there has been a couple of big thaws this winter, the season will still be a bit longer just like last year.
Collin says because last year was such a good season, the club sold about a hundred more permits this year.
The trails in Wasaga Beach are still listed as limited because of the recent thaw, but Collin says you can still go out, just use extra caution.
The Wasaga Beach Snowmobile Club is hoping to hold a poker run Saturday morning from 9 to 11 weather permitting.
And tomorrow night the club is holding a dance and silent auction at the Rec Plex from 8:30 to 1 am. Tickets are 15 dollars in advance and 20 at the door.
Both events are fundraiser’s for My Friend’s House in Collingwood, a shelter for abused women and children.
