The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks are ready for their next playoff series in senior men’s hockey.
So says head coach Don Matheson.
The Winterhawks are playing host to the Palmerston 81’s in the league quarter final best of 7 series.
Matheson says the 81’s can be a tough team.
Both squads won against the other on their home ice and Palmerston boasts the league scoring champion this season.
In addition both teams won their first series in 4-straight games so neither is defeated in playoff action so far this year.
Matheson expects both clubs to be a little tentative for a couple of minutes tonight as they feel each other out.
After that it will be a fast-paced game with not a lot of hitting.
He says the team with the better penalty kill and power plays will win the game.
Tonight’s game gets underway at 8:30 PM at the Plex in Saugeen Shores.
