Police are saying reduced visibility may have played a role in the crash of a truck and van this morning near Wasaga Beach at the intersection of Klondike Park Road and Highway 26.
Huronia West OPP aren’t saying how many people are hurt, but they do say the injuries are serious and ambulance and fire crews have responded to the scene.
Highway 26 is expected to be closed at Klondike Park Road at least until 3 PM for the investigation and cleanup.
There are reports of several crashes and cars into ditches in our area since the temperatures started falling and the snow squalls began.
Freezing rain is also coming down on Highway 400, making for a challenging afternoon getting around.
We’re expecting a blustery cold afternoon as the temperatures head for minus 17 tonight.
