West Grey Premium Beef has been honoured by the Ontario Independent Meat Processors.
The Grey County company won an award at Ontario’s Finest Meat Competition.
More than 100 premium meat and poultry products were submitted.
West Grey Premium Beef won for its Ontario’s Pride Strip Loin Steak.
The entries were evaluated by food professionals in a number of categories — including taste, aroma and visual appeal.
All 12 winners will have their product featured in a new recipe book and in the 2010 Independent Meat Processor Calendar
